Savills Appointed as Sole Agent for the Sale of a Whole Block Composite Building on Moon Street

International real estate firm Savills has been appointed by the estate administrator as the sole agent for the tender sale of No. 13 Moon Street, Wan Chai ("The Property"). The Property has a site area of approximately 722 square feet and is being sold on an "as-is" basis with existing tenancies. The tender closing date is scheduled for noon on 4 September, 2025 (Thursday).

The Property is a four-storey composite building comprising a ground-floor retail unit and residential units on the first to third floors. The ground floor is currently leased to a Thai massage shop, while all residential units are fully tenanted, offering buyers immediate and stable rental income.

The Property is located on Moon Street, often referred to as the “Back Garden of Wan Chai.” The area offers a unique blend of tranquility and vibrancy, with a distinctive character and a relaxed European ambiance. It has become one of the must-visit spots for tourists in Hong Kong in recent years.

Moon Street has also emerged as a trendy shopping district, home to a variety of boutique stores, fashion shops, art galleries, and antique furniture outlets. It’s a popular destination for street photography enthusiasts.

Additionally, the Property is surrounded by a number of specialty restaurants and is close to Pacific Place. It’s just a 5-minute walk to Admiralty MTR station, with multiple bus and minibus routes nearby, offering excellent connectivity and a prime location.

Mr. Jacky Fung, Senior Associate Director of Investment at Savills Hong Kongsaid, “Moon Street has not seen an en-bloc transaction for many years, making this tender sale particularly noteworthy. The Property has been held by the current owner for over half a century and is now being publicly offered for the first time—making it highly valuable for both collectors and investors. The indicative price is approximately HKD 30 million, offering an attractive entry point for buyers. In addition to providing stable rental income, the Property holds strong long-term development potential. Investors may consider merging it with adjacent properties for redevelopment or refurbishment, enhancing overall asset value. This is truly a rare and premium investment opportunity in the market.”
