Accredited by RCA, Savills led the Hong Kong's real estate investment markets in 2021 by a total investment volume of close to US$3.5 billion (around HK$27.4 billion) which was ahead of our competitors by more than 50%.
Savills has consistently led the market share in Hong Kong since 2014, according to RCA, with our market share growing to 51% in 2021 from 42% in 2020.
Major deals last year include KITEC, Hong Kong's largest property transaction in 2021 by a transaction amount of HK$10.5 billion. This was after our significant conclusion for Gaw Capital Partners on their acquisition of Cityplaza Three and Cityplaza Four for HK$15 billion, and our winning of the Best Deal of the Year award in RICS Hong Kong Awards 2021 for our closing of an industrial twin-deal in Cheung Sha Wan, where our capabilities are well demonstrated by our all-round leading position in the local market.
Raymond Lee, Chief Executive Officer, Greater China of Savills, commented, "We are honoured by RCA's announcement, which showed our consistent strength as a world-leading real estate service provider in the Hong Kong market. At Savills, we have always prided ourselves on being able to adapt to changing market conditions and client expectations. Headwind remains as the local, regional and global markets still face the impacts of the pandemic and geo-political factors, but we are confident to maintain our lead by winning the trust of clients spanning the full range of real estate sectors."
