The Board of Directors of Savills (Hong Kong) Limited (“the Company”) is pleased to announce that Ms. Maggie Chu, former Senior Director and Head of Kowloon Commercial of the Company in 2011, has re-joined the Company on 2 September 2020 as Deputy Managing Director, Greater Bay Area – Project Sales/Leasing.
With a combined GDP of US$1.5 trillion and population of over 70 million, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) is poised to become the crown jewel of Greater China and would greatly benefit the real estate market within the Area. Our Plc and Hong Kong Boards are adamant to secure a leading position in the real estate market in GBA. Maggie shall head this mission and be responsible for project sales and leasing business in GBA.
Maggie has more than 30 years extensive experience in major investment and leasing as well as value added services and marketing solutions. Prior to her re-joining Savills, she was Executive Director in Landlord/Owner Representative Services of Cushman & Wakefield for 8 years. Her broad range of clientele encompasses multinational corporations, prominent Hong Kong and international developers, traditional family trusts and major investment funds.
Maggie's largest transactions in project leasing include ICC, Langham Place, Landmark East, Millennium City & Enterprise Square developments. On the sale side, her signature accomplishments for the past three years are the largest retail portfolio sale in Hong Kong (29 Link REIT shopping malls sold in two batches), the largest en-bloc office sale in Kowloon (8 Bay East, currently known as NEO), the largest strata-title 9-floors office sale in Kowloon (C-BONS Int'l Centre) and the largest 3 shopping malls portfolio sale in Kowloon East (O'South Retail Portfolio). From 2017 to 2019, she concluded over HK$52 billion of real estate transactions with a total area of approx. 5 million sq.ft.
In the industrial revitalization arena, Maggie has successfully helped clients acquire numbers of sizeable industrial buildings and convert them into office usage as well as data centre floors acquisition in World Tech Centre. She was one of the very first to advocate the huge redevelopment potential of Kowloon East and we have all been witnessing the neighbourhood’s miraculous transformation since two decades ago, (as evidenced by Maggie's many record-breaking transactions in the district).
With Maggie's outstanding track record in new and emerging markets and Savills' unrivalled global network and market leadership, our clients can be assured of the best possible GBA solutions as well as APAC and international exposures.
The Board would like to express its warmest welcome to Maggie for re-joining Savills.
