South Bank

Dynamic neighborhood beside River Thames, at the heart of London’s cultural scene

When we mention London, everyone would think of The River Thames, the London Eye, the National theatre, the OXO Tower, etc. but do you know where these iconic symbols of London are located? Last month we featured an area along the north bank of the River Thames, this month we will bring you back to the South Bank.

Many of these familiar marvelous architectures are in the South Bank - a popular district located along the southern bank of the River Thames in central London known for its cultural institutions and vibrant atmosphere and has always attracted millions of visitors each year. SE1 is primarily known as a commercial and cultural district. However, the South Bank area also offers residential properties catering to those who desire to live in the heart of London and enjoy its vibrant atmosphere. Many apartments in the area have balconies or large windows that overlook the river, providing picturesque vistas of London's skyline.

Living in South Bank provides convenient access to a wide range of amenities, including shops, restaurants, cafes, and recreational spaces. You may also have easy access to the centerpiece of the district – Southbank Centre, a cultural complex that hosts a diverse range of concerts, theater performances, exhibitions, and festivals. If you happen to be around the area, mark your calendars to visit the Southbank Centre food market to explore a variety of culinary delights! Adjacent to South Bank, you may also find the world’s renowned realistic true-to-history reconstruction theatre – Shakespeare’s Globe, as well as one of the largest and oldest food markets in London – Borough Market. With the area's excellent transport links, making it easy to commute to other parts of London, SE1 is particularly appealing to affluent individuals, including celebrities, to live.

Walking along the South Bank provides picturesque riverside walks with stunning views of landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament, St Paul’s Cathedral, and the Big Ben.

With all the cultural richness, architectural landmarks, artistic institutions, and vibrant atmosphere, being able to immerse in the culture, South Bank is more than just a place to visit – it is a place to live.
