Haven, Niseko, Hokkaido

Specialist Property Services and Sectors

Designed by the world renowned architect, Riccardo Tossani , Haven is a boutique development in Middle Hirafu that boasts spacious living quarters with floor-to-ceiling panoramic views of Mt. Yotei and the local ski runs. The development is situated in a unique creek-edge setting that’s beautifully framed by a silver birch forest and it’s these views that have inspired the open design leading onto protected, indented terraces perched above the creek.

Niseko has firmly established itself as Asia’s leading International ski resort, located in Hokkaido it is famous for plentiful powder snow, long ski season and the iconic Mount Yotei. Whilst avid skiers have traditionally travelled from home and abroad to Niseko’s Mt Annupuri, more recently an explosion of interest in winter sports across Asia Pacific has lead to an ever increasing number of holiday makers to the area. The growth in visitor numbers has enabled Niseko to become well known for it’s many other attributes; the clean air, outdoor lifestyle and excellent cuisine are all important attractors to those making their regular pilgrimage to Hokkaido. Niseko has now established a reputation for being a year round resort with many activities for all the family including some of Japan’s best golf courses, cycling routes and walking trails.

Niseko is easily reachable and has good transport connections, daily International flights land in Sapporo from Hong Kong taking approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes. From Sapporo, it is 90 minutes drive to Niseko with regular connections by road and rail. From across the region there are plentiful connections into Sapporo including (amongst others) direct flights from China, South Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Hawaii and Singapore, this has seen a rise in the number of visitors over the years which has seen the Hokkaido government investing heavily in the infrastructure in the area to improve facilities and strengthen its reputation as a world class ski destination.

The stylish interiors at Haven are of the highest specification with 2 to 4 en-suite bedrooms in each apartment featuring fully appointed with robes and desks, a galley style kitchen, private laundry facilities, master en-suite featuring spa style double shower heads and tub and uniquely designed electric under-floor heating providing the most efficient and comfortable form of convectional heating.

The apartments are complemented by a residents-only roof terrace with spectacular views towards Mt Yotei, Mt Niseko- Annupuri and the forests of west Hirafu, owner’s storage facilities and a ground floor ski locker featuring heated boot racks with separate skier’s entrance with café/restaurant/shop on the ground floor. A ski shuttle stop is located nearby.

This special building will be ready to use for the 2016/17 winter season.
