Savills Macao has been appointed as the sole agent for the sale of a new whole-block luxury residential property at No.38 Escada da Arvore, Sai Van, Macau, by public tender. The tender will close at 12:00 noon on 18th March, 2010 (Thursday).

Franco Liu, Managing Director of Savills Macao, said the subject property is a seven storey southern European style luxury residential building named “The Lake Side Home”. Completed in 2008, the building is located in Sai Van which is a traditional luxury residential area with the Chapel of Our Lady of Penha behind, enjoying a pleasant and tranquil surroundings.

Liu pointed out that land supply in Macau is extremely limited, and therefore it is very rare to have whole-block properties available in the market for acquisition or redevelopment. The subject property is a private lot, with major government officials and middle-to-high income residents living in the neighbourhood.  Moreover, there are no new projects launched in the area over the past ten years. Liu expected that the new buyer can either keep the property for self-use or for long term investment by leasing the units, or put it for sale by strata title.  With its high investment potentials, he is confident that it will attract both local and overseas buyers.
