- The luxury residential leasing market was extremely active over Q2/2010 following an influx of expatriates and their families. Expatriates with children are arriving just before the start of the new school year in September
- Luxury apartment and townhouse rents on Hong Kong Island rose by 2.3 and 3.4 per cent respectively over the second quarter of 2010
- Some popular properties managed by corporate landlords reported almost full occupancy at the end of June and registered double-digit rental increments over the quarter
- Discovery Bay continues to gain in popularity and the rental differential between Discovery Bay and traditional luxury districts on Hong Kong Island has narrowed over the past three years
- The serviced apartment market remained upbeat in Q2/2010 and rents are fi rming further in the apartment-like sub-market
