Environmental, Health and Safety issues are a key consideration in our commitment to corporate social responsibility.

To achieve effective Health & Safety and Environmental Management Systems we seek to go beyond compliance with legislation to ensure that we identify, manage and improve the hazards and associated risks, in all aspects of our operations which affect the environment.

In line with this we have implemented a fully Integrated Management System (IMS) which addresses the Quality, Environment and Health and Safety aspects of our service provision. This system is implemented across our entire portfolio of managed properties ensuring that we fully address and manage these issues.

We have certified our IMS to international standards.  We have achieved ISO 9001 (Quality Management), and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) Certification and OHSAS 18001 (Health and Safety Management) Certification.

Appropriate control measures have been put in place to manage and minimize the impacts and risks.  These control measures are in the form of detailed operational procedures / guidelines / contingency plans for staff (and where necessary, sub-contractors) and cover both normal and emergency conditions.  Built-in monitoring checks, third party assessment, staff training programmes and improvement programmes ensure that all impacts and risks are effectively managed and our overall performance is continuously improved.
